FIS, a US banking and payments heavyweight, has appointed Stephanie Ferris as its new company president.
Most recently, Ferris served as chief administrative officer at FIS, having joined the company through its 2019 acquisition of payments software firm Worldpay, where she served as chief financial officer (CFO).
After joining FIS, she assumed the role of chief operating officer (COO) where she led the integration of Worldpay into FIS, “surpassing both revenue and cost synergy commitments”, the company says.
FIS chairman and chief executive Gary Norcross says Ferris is a “tremendously talented leader”.
He describes her leadership as “bold” and “experienced” and is confident it “will ensure that FIS continues to set the pace for how the world pays, banks and invests”.
