Kathie Lee Gifford Adopts NFTs to Connect With Fans and Boost Philanthropic Efforts

The relationship between the digital space and celebrities has always been a symbiotic one, allowing both parties to expand the reach of the other. The inception of the internet and social media proved to be one of the most effective examples of such symbiosis, eventually leading to what would become the latest trend: Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

While these digital assets might have been limited to crypto and tech enthusiasts some years ago, this is not the case. No matter if you don’t really understand the technology behind NFTs, you probably know or have an idea of what they are. Now, another of the most recognizable TV personalities, singers, and authors in the United States and the world has joined them: Kathie Lee Gifford. Best known for being a co-host for “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee”, a role that would make her a familiar face across the country, the start recently launched the KLG Pioneer Community NFT collection.

This collection contains unique pieces of art created by Kathie herself as a means not only to connect with her fans but also to support her philanthropic efforts. Fans can choose to support these efforts by acquiring the Limited Edition Star Collection, the #KLGFiresideChat NFT, or one of the two KLG Superstar tokens. Each of these options was created by Kathie with the aim to “honor her beloved fans”, which is why they come with additional perks intended to allow them to interact with her.

The latest addition to the collection comes in the form of the #KLGFiresideChat NFT, which acts as a key of sorts that allows holders to join the community. Owners of the NFT will be able to participate in all Fireside chats and events hosted by Kathie for the community, with the first Fireside chat having taken place on Thursday. Kathie invited her fans via a video by saying:

“I’m so looking forward to talking to you guys about anything you want to talk about, there is a lot going on in the world. That is why your NFT is: Your key to come into my little world so we can all share life with one another.”

The video quickly gained traction as fans shared her excitement about the chat and the chance to earn a lunch with Kathie in Nashville. In addition to this and other giveaways, those who acquired the NFT also contributed to The Association to Benefit Children (A.B.C.), The Rock, The Road and The Rabbi Foundation (RRR), and Spirit of America, 3 of the star’s favorite charities.

By joining the NFT community, Kathie has only added one new entry to the large list of industries she contributes to and participates in. After having made a name for herself on American TV, she has also taken part in different movies and musical theater productions, as well as being a philanthropist, spokesperson, and Labor rights activist.

Now that Kathie has taken to harvesting the potential of NFTs to create communities and help those who need it, she is ready to continue taking on new challenges. With an already impressive resume and fanbase, who knows what the future holds for one of America’s most beloved stars.
