Israeli entrepreneurs are always on the cutting edge, making them some of the most desired entrepreneurs around. In this series, I cover the leading startups to watch.
In this interview, I talked to Guy Bloch, CEO of Bringg.
Q: Where did the initial idea for the company come from?
A: The idea was simple. Our founder ordered pizza delivery, and as with many online orders, it was running late, and he had no clue as to where his pizza was beyond “it left the shop already.” So with all our advancements, why was his pizza MIA. That was the start of offering customers a delivery experience that matched that of ordering an uber if I can see where my car is at all times, why not my food, or any online order for that matter; why not create a platform that provides visibility to the customer to relieve delivery anxiety, while also offering the brand greater logistics efficiency.
Q: What are the key differentiated features of your product or service?
A: Bringg is the only data-led fulfillment and delivery orchestration technology that connects and intelligently utilizes data from fragmented systems to create the most efficient last-mile operations. Our enterprise solutions allow our customers to easily create a unified commerce experience bringing together different models and partners on one platform while applying AI and industry best practices. Our solution is constantly developing and releasing new innovations enabling real-time visibility and control across the last mile.
Q: How does the company market or plan to market its products or services?
A: We have three streams in play here. We are running a traditional play, marketing directly to enterprise brands and their delivery providers, offering them our data-led delivery and fulfillment platform. We also have a technology partner channel to integrate into other large ecosystems like the Salesforce Fulfillment Network and many other eCommerce solutions, with the overall goal of offering brands an E2E omnichannel solution that extends through fulfillment and delivery. Finally, we are also focused on building out network vision so that any size brand or delivery provider can plug into our open, connected network and create the right supply chain solution for their business.
Q: What kind of CRM software is your company using?
A: Salesforce
Q: What’s the first bit of advice you’d give to someone who’s thinking of starting their own startup?
A: Be a trailblazer – have a clear vision of what you want to achieve and what goals will help you along the way. Be ready to make pivots along the way to find the most efficient and impactful way to fulfill your vision.
Q: What is the key to happy clients?
A: Happy customers come from the understanding that we are here to ensure their success. We are their partners, focused on their growth, market education, and continual innovation. We work to ensure that our customers have access to not only the latest advancements from our platform and network but also the right solutions in the ecosystem to ensure that they reach their business goals beyond delivery and fulfillment.
Q: How do you strengthen your ability to focus on what matters?
A: We stay true to our vision to connect people and brands through innovative delivery and fulfillment that is accessible, usable and valuable to everyone. This is reflected in our product roadmap, business goals, constant reflection of our KPIs, and also the continual empowerment of our employees. We know where we want to go, and with the right map, team players, and proper playbooks, we ensure that we stay on the path to success.
Q: What other companies or startups inspire you?
A: DUST Identity – Innovating the way we secure the supply chain, using low-cost nanodiamonds technology
Corralogix – for the way they are reinventing the world of log management.
Gong – it’s incredible how fast they found their product-market fit and took off.
