Alternative investment platform Bite has appointed Tom Hamilton as its new chief information officer (CIO).
Hamilton will lead the management, implementation and usability of information technology and computer systems at the fintech firm.
He joins Bite from Gazprom, where he was previously the head of architecture for the European Energy Trading Organisation.
Hamilton has more than 20 years worth of experience in senior leadership and information technology roles across a range of financial companies including JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and ABN Amro.
Speaking on his appointment, Hamilton says he wants to “change the face of wealth management by providing an easy to use, regulatory compliant solution that the user community can buy into — with shorter implementation lead times to enable organisation to derive real value quickly”.
The company has also made a number of other senior hires as it looks to continue its growth. Justin Mason joins as global head of asset and wealth management sales, Matthew Purcell as finance director and Alex Seymour as chief legal officer.
Bite is an online investment platform and asset manager specialising in alternative markets and has offices and customers in Asia, Europe and North America.
