California-based card-issuing platform Marqeta has partnered with Evolve Bank & Trust to support its customer card programmes.

Marqeta provides cards, wallets and other payment tools to businesses. Companies can also issue credit and debit cards to workers through the platform.

The firm says the addition of Evolve as a bank partner will enable it to streamline operations and “derive more value” for each customer card programme.

Evolve will support the full range of Marqeta’s programme management capabilities, including BIN management, on-demand fulfilment, compliance reporting and settlement services.

Evolve works with fintech companies to provide a range of services, including a dedicated open banking division offering Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) payment and technology solutions.

Founded in 2010, Marqeta operates in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific. It claims more than 140 million cards have been issued through its platform.
