Prior to Pagaya, Vaswani was chief digital officer at Barclays and former CEO of Barclays Bank UK. In his tenure there, he led the digitisation of the UK retail bank and helped transform the firm’s consumer and payments businesses.

He also previously spent 20 years at Citigroup and served as CEO of the bank’s Asia Pacific business.

In his new role, Pagaya says Vaswani will leverage his three decades worth of experience to lead all commercial, risk, regulatory, compliance and legal efforts with current and prospective bank partners.

Gal Krubiner, Pagaya’s co-founder and CEO, says Vaswani “has a proven track record of building and growing businesses at international scale”.

Founded in 2016, Pagaya utilises artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics to provide asset management and institutional investment solutions and pipelines to banks and fintech lenders.
