UK-based super-app Revolut has appointed Saleem Arshad as the new chief technology officer (CTO) for its India operations.
In his new role, Arshad will help shape Revolut’s product offerings and technology for the Indian market, where it plans to launch soon.
Arshad brings with him over two decades of work experience in management consulting, programme delivery and enterprise architecture.
He is a founding member of challenger bank W1TTY, where he also served as CTO for more than two years, helping the company build 130,000 customers across Europe.
Before that, he worked at HSBC for more than six years, rising to the position of domain architect – SME digital banking. He has also served in various roles at Barclays, BP, LexisNexis, Wipro Technologies and Accenture, among others.
Earlier this month, Revolut partnered with Stripe to support payments in the UK and Europe and boost its planned expansion into new markets.
