Indian mid-stage technology-focused venture capital firm Iron Pillar said Friday it has appointed Anita George and Winson Ng as its advisors to facilitate growth.
Anita George is a senior executive with decades of global experience in global institutional finance and sustainable investing. She has held various positions at Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ), Canada’s second-largest pension fund manager, including as head of India business. She had a key role for the entire emerging markets wing as Executive Vice President and Deputy Head of CDPQ Global covering all geographies outside Canada.
Prior to CDPQ, she spent twenty-two years with the World Bank Group leading both public and private-sector investments in infrastructure across various geographies. She has led global agreements addressing climate change during her tenure at the World Bank Group.

Ng has taken part in more than 100 private equity fund investments and co-investments and served as an advisory board member for over 20 private equity funds globally.
Iron Pillar, which recently crossed assets under management of $400 million, said it will look to selectively widen this ‘Council of Iron Pillar Ambassadors’ over the next few months as it sharpens the focus on the next phase of its growth.
Iron Pillar constitutes 25 team members operating from four offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai and Palo Alto. Its portfolio includes technology companies such as CureFoods, CoreStack, FreshToHome, Jiffy.ai, Servify, Skill-Lync, Uniphore and Ushur.
