Pitch Global Launches Virtual Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) Accelerator to Help Startups Attract CVC Funding and Partnerships
Accelerator offers thought leadership series including a FREE October 8 event, US government agency mentoring sponsorships and entrepreneurial education self-study
SAN FRANCISCO, October 06, 2021–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pitch Global, the leading live events-based network of investors and entrepreneurs, today announced the launch of its virtual Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) Accelerator to help startup founders attract funding and partnerships from CVCs. The new accelerator offers a thought leadership series including an upcoming October 8 event, US government agency mentoring sponsorships, and entrepreneurial education self-study.
Pitch Global’s October 8 event titled “How Founders Can Build Partnerships with CVCs” features prominent speakers such as Andrew Maywah, Investment Director at TDK Ventures, and Hee Suk Jung of Korea’s SK Group, which has made several $1 billion+ investments in recent years. Another speaker – Russell Jones, CEO and co-founder of Cargo Chief – will provide the entrepreneur’s perspective. Cargo Chief has just closed on a Series A funding round and has been a successful member of Pitch Global’s US government agency-funded mentoring program.
“Most entrepreneurs don’t look at CVCs since the popular perception is that they invest in later stages. However, it is a growing trend that CVCs are investing in earlier stages,” said Kaustav “KC” Chaudhuri, Pitch Global founder and Entrepreneur in Residence. “As a result, Pitch Global has made major pivots to spotlight CVCs at our events and have attracted names like United Health, J&J Ventures, Samsung, TDK Ventures, Shell Ventures, National Grid, SK Group, Banco Santander, Maersk and many others.”
Pitch Global CVC Co-Hosted Thought Leadership Series
Pitch Global’s CVC Co-Hosted Thought Leadership Series launched earlier this year in association with Andrew Maywah, Investment Director of TDK Ventures, an early-stage investment company. Maywah is an alumni member of MIT and Wharton and was a VC in China before he relocated to Silicon Valley and became an investor with TDK Ventures. At the first session, the speakers collectively dispelled the notion that CVCs only invest in later-stage companies. In the second session, both Maywah and guest CVC, Nathan Pascarella of Hypertherm Ventures, shared insights on how founders at all levels can attract CVCs. For the upcoming October 8 session, Pitch Global’s CVC co-hosts will take this education one step further with insights on how founders at all levels can build partnerships with CVCs which could lead to funding.

Accelerator Steps Up US Government Agency Mentoring Sponsorships and Entrepreneurial Education Self-Study
Pitch Global will give startup founders funding opportunities and mentorship with CVCs as well as opportunities to participate in their US government agency-funded mentoring program if they have a location in Northern California. The founder training will be a combination of CVC Thought Leadership events mostly co-hosted by CVCs, video recordings of live events, and entrepreneurial education self-study powered by BOSS Capital Partners via the following dedicated Pitch Global link.
To date, Pitch Global has successfully mentored 10 companies through their Northern California-based US government agency-funded mentoring program and has helped raise at least $1m each out of a total of $50m in the recent calendar year. These 10 companies will become charter members and select founders will be invited to become charter members as well. Sponsorship opportunities will be available to CVCs and other investors.
