The 12 private capital leaders who made FN’s most influential women list


Twelve of the 100 most influential women in finance work in private capital, according to Financial News‘ annual rundown of the women shaping the financial services industry in Europe.

The FN100 Women in Finance list has been published annually by FN since 2007 and the sector has changed a lot since then, with many more women in senior positions.

The twelve women who work in private equity or venture capital who made 2022’s cut are:

Kerry Baldwin, co-founder and managing partner, IQ Capital

Selina Burdell, co-founder and chief operating officer, Link Financial Group

Tara Davies, global head of core infrastructure and co-head of European infrastructure, KKR

Ina De, Co-head strategic investor and financial sponsor group for Emea, JP Morgan

Teresa Farmaki, co-founder, Astarte Capital

Lucy Heintz, head of energy infrastructure, Actis

Simona Maellare, global co-head of alternative capital group, UBS

Cécile Mayer-Lévi, head of private debt activity, Tikehau Capital

Saba Nazar, co-head financial sponsors, Bank of America

Brigitte Posch, global head of emerging market debt, Apollo Global Management

Anna Skoglund, head of financial and strategic investor group Emea, Goldman Sachs

Yen Sum, partner and global co-chair of the private capital practice, Latham & Watkins

The 2022 cohort of female executives are leading their teams through times of uncertainty, having only recently come through the Covid pandemic. However, they are continuing to grow businesses and champion diversity initiatives despite the macroeconomic and geopolitical turmoil.
