VeeFriends, the NFT project launched by serial entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk back in 2021, has announced VeeCon 2023 will be held in Indianapolis. The second edition of the “unconference” will see thousands of attendees and hundreds of speakers descend on the “crossroads of America” for 3 days all about NFTs, Web3, and the decentralized world.
Building a Legacy: The conference’s first edition took place back in May of 2022 with participation from artists like Snoop Dogg, Pplpleasr, Beeple, Pharrel Williams, Mila Kunis, Steve Aoki, Logan Paul, and many more. In addition to the star power, experts in the world of NFTs, Web3, and Blockchain also joined. These included Gary himself, Mike Novogratz (Galaxy Digital), Ian Rogers (Ledger), Nadya Tolokonnikova (PussyRiot and UnicornDAO), and Jim Midgal (Coinbase).
While the speaker lineup for next year’s conference is yet to be announced, the success of last year’s edition has made ripples across the decentralized space. As such, it is expected that prominent figures in the worlds of business, music, art, Web3, sports, and pop culture will be joining as well in 2023.
“We’re gonna do it bigger and better than we did in 2022! I cannot wait to see all of you and all the V friends in Indy VeeCon 2023.” Said Vee in the video announcement.
What to Expect: Just like its last edition, VeeCon 2023 will consist of a mix of keynote speeches, innovative and educational talks, panels, and interviews, combined with world-class entertainment. There will also be spaces specifically designed for networking, brainstorming, and other social activities.
Starting on May 18th at 1:00 PM, VeeCon 2023 will take place in 2 different venues: White River State Park’s Amphitheater and Lucas Oil Stadium. While scheduling may be subject to change, the tentative schedule at this time is as follows:
- May 18th | Doors 1 PM | TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park
- VeeCon Field Day!
- Opening Night Concert
- May 19th | Doors 9 AM | Lucas Oil Stadium
- Speakers & Activations
- Evening Entertainment
- May 20th | Doors 9 AM | Lucas Oil Stadium
- Speakers & Activations
- Evening Entertainment
How to Attend: Unlike most conferences in the space, those looking to attend VeeCon 2023 will need to hold an NFT that will grant them access to the event. These NFTs will be released in early 2023 to holders of VeeFriends Series 1 NFTs, which are currently available via OpenSea. Tickets might also be available via OpenSea if their owners choose to sell them once they are airdropped.
While buying tickets in the secondary market might be possible, those interested might be better served by acquiring one of the series 1 NFTs given this and next year’s trend to airdrop tickets to holders. In addition to this, holders will also benefit from all the other perks that come with being part of the VeeFriends community.
