  • John Nosta’s keynote address on “Humanities Tipping Point” sounds particularly interesting, and it will be valuable to hear his perspective as a Founding Member of the World Health Organization and a member of the Google Health Advisory Board.

  • The inclusion of local chief executives and healthcare technology startups from around the United States will also provide attendees with a diverse range of perspectives and ideas.

Disrupt the Bay is hosting its 4th annual innovation summit in Tampa Bay February 4th 2023, from 8am-5pm at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. The Conference claims the title as the largest health tech conference in the South by Southeast region, where profits of the conference are distributed amongst benefactors funding mental health, pediatric cancer, food insecurity and supporting children survived by parental suicide.

A lineup of speakers from the top healthcare systems in the country will be present, as well as a prominent digital healthcare disruptor, known as John Nosta, delivering a keynote address called “Humanities Tipping Point.”  Nosta, a Founding Member of the World Health Organization and Digital Health Roster of Experts along with Google Health’s Advisory Board, will also be participating in a panel with Ark Investment Management. The program will also include local chief executives from the healthcare industry, and multiple healthcare technology startups from all over the United States.

What is Tampa Tank?

The Tampa Tank boasts the best of the best in the US Southeast. Over two hundred founders have been vetted to appropriately bring the top 5-7 potential unicorns to showcase their products at the Tampa Tank.  These pitches will have live negotiations led by Kevin Harrington, Gary Cardone and Jay Goss. Kevin Harrington is known as the original shark from the hit tv series, Shark Tank. Gary Cardone is also a renown international investor and entrepreneur and although his ventures have been predominantly in energy and fintech, he looks to potentially add a health tech Tampa Unicorn to his portfolio.  Jay Goss, General Partner of Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health, will also be flying in from Los Angeles to partake in the deal flow. Jay’s portfolio is very niche within health-tech and has a proven track record growing early stage companies.

Who Is Stan Liberatore?

Stan Liberatore, is a local entrepreneur and President, Founder of No Limit Tech a tech and cybersecurity staffing company.  In addition, Liberatore serves as Executive Director of Disrupt the Bay and states that the conference was created to create synergy amongst the large health care systems, startups and investor population all while synthesizing a family’s hope for proper child cancer treatments, aiding food insecurity, and assist with mental health issues impacting children.  “Disrupt the Bay is truly the only program of its kind, where all proceeds go right back into advancing humanity and giving back to the future of children across the world,” said Liberatore.

After three of his friends lost their children to cancer, Liberatore wanted to create a solution—a platform to fund child cancer research. With a background steeped in the healthcare industry, Liberatore saw the value of merging the innovation of startups with the influence and reputation of larger healthcare organizations. “I wanted to create synergy—to disrupt healthcare,” he said. Knowing that the pediatric cancer treatments were outdated, a large conference with like-minded, passionate individuals intent on change, could disrupt the status quo and move the needle on research and development funding. “Why stop at pediatric cancer when we should help all children everywhere? That’s truly living up to the Save The Kids Foundations name.”

Liberatore appointed Taylor Precourt, Founder of Twelve Tables, as Chairwoman of Disrupt the Bay.  “Taylor has been a great sound board for Disrupt the Bay’s vision this year,” said Liberatore.   The program consists of three parts: “Disrupt the Seats, Disrupt the Stage, and Disrupt the Streets,” said Precourt.  Precourt is especially proud of Disrupt the Streets, which will be a free arts and entertainment event open to the public on February 18th. “It’s especially exciting getting an opportunity to enlighten the next generation of philanthropists and welcoming local leaders and their families to have fun all while making an impact,” said Precourt.

“Although this is a current time of volatility with economic conditions, it has increased the need to create more of a driving force with health innovation and inviting different populations to contribute to neglected aid and research for these kids and their future, what child doesn’t deserve a shot at life,” said Liberatore.  He continues “It’s not new that people who need medical care are finally in a position to receive that care through telehealth and other digital tools, but now its time to iterate and innovate, we need to Disrupt!  Like Vive we are making Healthcare more exciting for the new generation stepping into these leadership positions.  The silver tsunami is real and we must prepare for that. ”

When is the DIsrupt the Bay VIP Party?

The conference will follow a VIP party surrounding entertainment and the best food the city of Tampa has to offer.  Gary Cardone, an investor involved in The Tampa Tank and friend of Stan Liberatore, will be hosting this VIP party at his beautiful $10 million estate in Tierra Verde that sits right on the water.  Liberatore also feels confident that they can potentially double the $100k raise they hit last year, disbursing more proceeds to their beneficiaries to create more innovations and aid for their overall missions.
