Perth accelerator Emersyn lets 9 female founders shine in its new pitch competition

Nine female entrepreneurs participated in the first We Are Emersyn Female Founders Pitch Competition in Perth last week.

Emersyn is an accelerator platform that helps women entrepreneurs launch, build, and grow businesses. It offers educational programs, mentors, advisors, and a supportive community to help female founders succeed.

Megan Del Borrello founded We Are Emersyn in 2018 to showcase female entrepreneurs via profiling and later, peer-to-peer mentoring.

Elizabeth Knight. No Code Odyssey

Elizabeth Knight, the founder of No Code Odyssey, won the Judges Choice award for delivering a confident, powerful, and clean pitch.

She received a scholarship to EMERSYN Elevate Program (valued at $10,500) and a three-month Female Founders Hub coworking membership at Riff powered by Spacecubed. Leverage Media awarded Knight with a 12-month membership to The Leverage List.

Emily Zaborski, the founder of Coffee Van Collective, won the People’s Choice award and received a scholarship to Emersyn Startup School and a VentureX HQ annual membership with various benefits such as ongoing events, early bird access, network access, and facilitated introductions.

Empowering rural communities in Tanzania through sustainable projects and access to quality healthcare services. CEO Nina Hjortlund is currently studying leadership in global development.

A wellness space designed for Black, Indigenous, and women of colour (BIWOC) to thrive, curated by Valerie Weyland who is currently developing a wellness app for BIWOC.

A talent marketplace that connects companies with top talent worldwide to execute data science projects. Founder Holly Bridgwater aims to bridge the gap between technical disciplines and data science.

A cost-effective solution for tracking employee training and induction records, freeing up teams to focus on core business. Founder Kareena Waters has over 20 years of experience in workforce, learning & development, and training specialist.

The platform helps companies establish effective and scalable sales functions with consistent performance and predictable sales revenue. Founder Julia Ewert is renowned for equipping companies worldwide with sales and negotiation skills based on FBI negotiation techniques.

A natural skin care and supplementation brand that combines a unique blend of ingredients that can be ingested or applied to the skin. Co-founders Imogen van Haagen, Courtney Thornton, and Wouter Spruijtenburg are expanding to the US market.

No Code Odyssey | Elizabeth Knight 

Empowers entrepreneurs, business owners, and creators to build apps and websites without coding. Co-founded by Elizabeth Knight and Carl Maiorana in 2022.

Strength Heroes | Fiona Perrella 

Runs art and play workshops for primary school-aged children incorporating art, storytelling, movement, and STEAM activities to develop resilience. Founder Fiona Perrella was a finalist in the Commissioner for Children and Young People Mental Health Educator category of the WA Mental Health Awards in 2022.
