Onkos Surgical Raises $15 in Series C Funding

Onkos Surgical has announced the closing of a Series C funding round at $15 million led by 1315 Capital with the participation of existing investors.

Being a leader when it comes to innovation of solutions for musculoskeletal oncology and complex orthopedic procedures, the latest investment will be used to boost the company’s research and development strategies, expanding its services, and accelerating manufacturing capabilities in order to increase the company’s revenue.

Founding partner of 1315 Capital and Onkos Surgical board member, Adele Oliva, referred to the firm’s decision to participate by stating:

These efforts will allow the startup to improve conditions for studying and providing surgeon-driven and patient-inspired approaches to solve three main clinical issues when it comes to complex orthopedic procedures: infection, implant loosening, and soft tissue failures. As a result, surgeons will have a better chance to plan and implement more precise reconstructions. Patrick Treacy, Co-Founder, and CEO at Onkos Surgical said:
