Applications for Catalysr’s migrapreneurs fellowships close soon

Catalysr, the Western Sydney startup incubator for migrant entrepreneurs, aka migrapreneurs,  is in the final days of applications for its 2023 fellowship program.

The startup accelerator helps migrants and refugees build businesses that contribute to Australia’s economic success.

The applications are open and close next Wednesday, March 29.

The 10-week program is for early-stage migrant entrepreneurs who are toying with an idea or just want to familiarise themselves with the startup ecosystem.

The fellowship is not only for those who want to start their own startup but also for migrapreneurs who want to work at an early-stage startup.

So if you know or are a refugee or migrant keen to enter the startup ecosystem as an employee or a founder, apply online here.

The program will see participants learn about the basics of starting and running a business in Australia and connect with Catalysr’s alumni network, mentors, and industry professionals.

Catalysr founder Usman Iftikhar says the fellowship is a first step for migrants and refugees looking to enter and navigate the startup ecosystem in Australia.

“It is also a life-long community where migrants and refugees get access to skills, knowledge, mentoring, and networks to launch their own startup, find co-founders or get a job with other startups in Australia,” he said.

2022 saw over 100 migrapreneurs participating in the pre-accelerator program; this year, the program has been revamped and made more exciting.

Catalysr’s community includes over 1200 professionals, advisors, and investors.

Since Catalysr was founded in 2016, they’ve helped 750+ migrapreneurs launch 200+ businesses and counting, including the standouts from last year’s program – health tech Diagnose, climate tech Mantaray and AI-powered platform Mazaal AI.
