Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB), a mid-sized universal bank serving retail, SME and corporate customers, has gone live with Temenos’ core banking system.
ATB is part of Arab Bank Group (one of the largest financial institutions in the Middle East) and has a staff of 1,300 and 134 branches across Tunisia.
The project started in 2019, as reported by FinTech Futures, with ATB signing for a broad range of front-to-back office solutions from the banking tech vendor.
The first phase – focused on retail and corporate business lines – was completed by the company’s regional implementation partner, Information Technology Solutions and Services (ITSS). It included Temenos Banking Capabilities for Accounts, Lending, Deposits and Financial Crime Mitigation and migrating retail and corporate accounts to the Temenos platform.
“This go-live is a major step forward in the bank’s strategic roadmap and to further develop the digital transformation,” comments Ahmed Rjiba, CEO of ATB.
“A modern, agile banking platform is vital for developing distinctive products and services and adapting to changing customer expectations and market evolution.”
The second phase of the implementation includes Temenos Banking Capabilities and pre-composed Banking Services for Digital Banking, Payments and Enterprise Risk Management.
Ultimately, Temenos’ solutions will underpin the bank’s entire operations, the vendor says.
