Biofriendly Corp. Claims Its Green Plus Fuel Additive Avoided 1.7 Million Tons of CO2 Emissions in 2022

LOS ANGELES –– Biofriendly, an environmental technology company, released their Operations Performance Report for their Green Plus fuel additive which concluded the ingredient avoided the emission of 1.7 million tons of CO2 tailpipe emissions in 2022, an increase of 8.9% from 2021.

“It feels rewarding to have another successful year helping to reduce harmful emissions with our product,” said Michael Carroll, CTO of Biofriendly. “Our efforts in 2022 bring our total number of gallons treated to 17.5 billion, which is just a staggering number. It’s gratifying to see how much we’ve grown at Biofriendly and looking forward to what we can accomplish in 2023.”

Biofriendly calculates that in 2022 the use of Green Plus prevented 3,474.9 billion pounds of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, which on average would be the equivalent of planting 61.2 million full grown trees. Green Plus is 

Green Plus is classified as an Energy Transition Fuel by the United Nations. In 2008 Biofriendly was fined $1.25 million by the EPA for failing to properly register the product as a fuel additive but Green Plus was allowed back on the market after it was registered and the complaint was settled.

Biofriendly says Green Plus has treated fuel used for 77.5 billion miles of travel overall. According the UN analysis, Green Plus increases fuel efficiency by 7 percent and reduces CO2 emission by a corresponding percentage, but also reduces particulate emissions by 30 percent.
