Bright Sparks: The International Women’s Day edition

With today being International Women’s Day, here are some events well worth being a part of this week:

 

Creating the Future – Changing Climates: Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow

The Studio will be recognising the contribution of women and girls around the world who are working to change the climate of gender equality and build a sustainable future. Despite what some are saying is this year’s theme, the UN’s actual choice for IWD 2022 is the title above.

 

International Womens Day Fempowered Mixer

Wed Mar 9, 12pm

Hosted by the fabulous Laetitia Andrac of Essential Shift, this event will provide attendees the opportunity to introduce themselves through a 30 second elevator pitch to introduce their idea, skills or experience before connecting for an immersive networking session and light refreshments.

Sydney Startup Hub’s Female Founder Showcase

Thu Mar 10, 5:30pm

Hear from 8 inspiring founders from the Sydney Startup Hub community, who are working on a variety of different startups at different stages of growth. Learn about their innovative businesses and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

 

Female Founders Pitch Night

Fri Mar 11, 5pm

Every second Friday night, Fishburners opens its doors to host Shark Tank-style, Friday Night Pitches. This week’s edition will be celebrating female founders from across the startup ecosystem.

 

Female Founder Meetup at Sydney Startup Hub

Wed Mar 16, 11AM

This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow female founders at all stages of their startup journey and build your network. Come along for morning tea and a short fireside chat with Christie Whitehill, founder of Tech Ready Women whose 2022 Startup Program is currently recruiting.
