Business financing start-up Muse Finance has appointed Tarek AbdelKader as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
As part of its ongoing strategic plans to scale in 2022, AbdelKader will lead the UK-based fintech’s migration to a fully serverless architecture model as the firm aims to give users further scalability and security.
AbdelKader will also oversee the integration of technologies for Web3 implementation on the backend ledger as well as the use of AI for Muse’s credit decisioning processes.
By integrating end-to-end customer journey automations, the company adds its new CTO will help to provide digitised access to Muse products, fast-tracking customer finance applications with a view to providing access to funds within minutes rather than days.
AbdelKader has previously worked at financial firms including The Co-Operative Bank and Think Money Group, plus software providers Blinx Solutions and Meta Software.
Most notably, Muse Finance claims the tech veteran helped implement technology improvements for The Co-operative Financial Services resulting in savings of £1 million per annum across approximately 10,000 loan settlement applications.
