Businesses and their supply chain managers are chartered with increasing the efficiency of their operations while simultaneously reducing costs. To address these conflicting mandates, companies continue to increase the level of automation in warehouse environments for the movement of materials and goods. But how effective are these measures and what comes next?

In an informative keynote session at RoboBusiness on Oct. 19, Sally Miller, Chief Information Officer for DHL Supply Chain in North America, will discuss the state of supply chain automation and innovation. DHL is one of the world’s leading logistics providers and uses robotics to support numerous warehousing and logistics tasks. Miller recently gave The Robot Report an inside look at DHL’s robotics ecosystem, including its partnerships with Boston Dynamics and Locus Robotics.

Miller’s keynote, called “All In on Innovation: Using Automation to Define the Future of Supply Chain,” will discuss a variety of topics that include why robots and robotics technologies are required for supply chain operations; what automation products and technologies are working; what automation solutions require optimization and further development; what is the future of logistics automation and how will success be measured?

The other RoboBusiness keynotes include:

  • Allison Thackston, senior technical lead and manager, roboticist, Waymo
  • Anthony Jules, co-founder and CEO, Robust.AI
  • Jonathan Hurst & Damion Shelton, co-founders, Agility Robotics
  • Keynote panel on investments with Karthee Madasamy, founder and managing partner of Mobile Foundation Ventures, Sherwin Prior, director of Amazon’s Industrial Innovation Fund, Fady Saad, founder and general partner of Cybernetix Ventures, Martyna Waliszewska, Investment Manager, Invest in Odense

RoboBusiness will feature 70-plus exhibitors, 60-plus speakers, a MassRobotics Career Fair and Startup Workshop, the Pitchfire Startup Competition, networking receptions and much more. Full conference passes are $795, while expo-only passes are just $75. Academic discounts are available and academic full conference rates are $295. Register today.
