This year Dress for Success Vancouver is hosting its 11th annual success luncheon on November 21, 2023, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. This comes as the organization hits an incredible milestone. The organization has generated a potential economic engine of almost $1.9 billion* through the 41,000 women it has served since its inception.
Just weeks away, the Success Luncheon presented by BlueShore Financial celebrates the community that has built Dress for Success Vancouver, from a grassroots organization to a local leader in the economic empowerment of women. BlueShore Financial Returns as the organization’s presenting sponsor for the second year in a row.
The theme of this year’s luncheon is building success.
“Ensuring women and gender diverse individuals have access to the tools and programs they need, to help them advance on their professional trajectories, build financial security, independence and economic power is at the root of everything we do here at Dress for Success Vancouver,” says Natasha Irvine Dress for Success Vancouver Acting Executive Director.
She continues, “Our annual Success Luncheon allows us to acknowledge and recognize the success of our community over the course of the past year while also raising much needed funds for the year ahead to support our rapidly growing network of clients and programming. We are so grateful to all of our supporters.”
“Empowering financial well-being at both the individual and community level is at the heart of what BlueShore strives for,” says Armita Alikhani, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at BlueShore Financial. “We’re proud to continue our support of Dress for Success Vancouver which provides vital and irreplaceable programs and support to equip women and gender diverse individuals in building their careers and achieving economic independence.”
This celebrated luncheon commemorates the work of the Dress for Success Vancouver community spanning new and long-time sponsors, supporters, ambassadors, and champions. This year’s client Inspiration Award winner is Kate Brunger.
“The support of Dress for Success Vancouver set me on a path of self-discovery and self-development that I couldn’t have imagined. In this community, I’ve found an organization that I believe in and a cause I can champion,” shares Brunger. “I am honoured to be accepting this award at the upcoming Success Luncheon. Dress for Success is a sisterhood I am so proud to be part of. I want all women to have the opportunities they have given me.”
Dress for Success Vancouver is a non-profit organization that aims to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing them with professional attire, career development support, and resources. As women in the community gain financial stability and independence, they are given the opportunity to obtain stable jobs and become positive role models for their families and communities. This, in turn, can have a ripple effect by inspiring others to pursue their own educational and career goals.
