e-con Systems brings in $13M for embedded vision systems

e-con Systems, a US-based provider of embedded vision systems, has brought in $13 million in funding from GR 2022 Holdings. The company plans to use the funding to expand its operations in the US and globally. 

e-con Systems also plans to use the funding to support investments in building contemporary and state-of-the-art facilities for imaging, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), autonomous shopping and cellular and molecular imaging core laboratories. 

“We are pleased to announce our recent funding from GR 2022 Holdings Inc, which will significantly enhance our growth trajectory and bolster our ability to drive innovation in the embedded vision market,” Ashok Babu Kunjukkannan, co-founder and president of e-con Systems, said. “We are committed to harnessing the power of cutting-edge technology to enable machines to perceive and comprehend the world around them.”

The company was co-founded by Babu Kunjukkannan, Harishankkar Subramanyam and Maharajan Veerabahu in 2003. It has partnerships with several host platform providers like NVIDIA, NXP, Qualcomm and more. e-con Systems also works with sensor makers like Sony, Onsemi and Omnivision.
