Here’s Where to See Dr. Abdalla Kablan During Web Summit

Web Summit is here again, and excitement is in the air. Tickets have already sold out as more than 70,000 attendees line up to meet and exchange ideas with other people and companies redefining the tech industry. In addition, there will be around one thousand speakers in attendance at Web Summit, including Dr. Abdalla Kablan, a serial tech entrepreneur, investor, and award-winning technology expert.

For the uninitiated, Web Summit is the largest tech event in the world that seeks to bring people together to answer the question of “Where to next?” Web Summit 2022 will take place in Lisbon at the Altice Arena and FIL pavilions from November 1st to the 4th. Alongside the attendees and speakers, it will also feature over 1,100 investors and more than 2,600 exhibiting startups and companies. Moreover, the event tends to attract as many women as it does men, if not more.

Web Summit attracts high-caliber speakers with expertise and knowledge in many fields. Dr. Kablan specializes in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the design of complex financial systems. He is also a serial entrepreneur and has founded many tech companies, with specializations in deep learning and process automation.

But Dr. Kablan will be the first to admit that there are many failures to go with his successes, as he did in his recent TEDx London talk. He believes those experiences taught him far more than his successes, and he will be sharing the thoughts and insights earned by his efforts at Web Summit.

Dr. Kablan’s most recent successful exit was from Wyzer in December 2020. More recently, he is investing in ventures that include FitTech, neuromorphics, and metaverse applications. He is also an alumnus of Microsoft Ventures, UK, and has worked on projects featured at the World Economic Forum 2017 in Davos.

Adding to his vast knowledge base, Dr. Kablan has expertise in international fundraising and served as a former board member of the Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) where he chaired the MSE blockchain committee.

On top of everything else, he continues to advise governments and various institutions on matters related to strategic development and utilization of technology, Fintech, and Blockchain and DLT technologies.

Dr. Kablan’s extensive knowledge is worth learning from, and there are several fantastic opportunities to see him during this year’s Web Summit. He will participate in three events on November 2nd, starting with the PITCH stage at 12pm WET. He will appear as part of the group rounds, representing the Horyzon Fund along with Eugene Belov of Redseed VC, Brian Marrinan of Team ABC Ventures, Diego Serrano of Akilia Partners, and William Abecassis.

The second appearance is his Startup Masterclass, which takes place at 2pm WET. The masterclass is a solo appearance and will focus on the topic he covered in his TEDx London talk: A brain on a chip? The future of singularity in the metaverse.

Finally, Dr. Kablan will appear at Grit Daily’s Fifth Annual Speakers and Media Dinner, where he will serve as the special guest during a multi-course, sit-down meal. It takes place at 7 pm WET and will provide an oasis during Web Summit.
