The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) executive board elected Marina Bill as vice president of the organization, effective immediately. Bill follows Klaus Koenig as the organization’s vice president, following Koenig’s resignation. Bill will work alongside Milton Guerry, IFR president.
“There hasn’t been a more exciting time to be in our industry than right now,” Bill said. “We are in a period of unprecedented transformation, for robotic automation itself, and in the rapid acceleration and adaptation of its use across a wide range of industry sectors. I’m looking forward to help steer that transformation, through the IFR.”
Bill is currently the global head of marketing and sales at ABB, where she’s worked for over 24 years. She was also a member of the IFR executive board and is chair of the robot suppliers committee.
Bill received her undergraduate degree from Stockholm University, and obtained a master’s degree in industrial engineering and management from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
The IFR acts as the voice of the global robotics industry. The nonprofit organization was founded in 1987 and represents national robot associations, academia and manufacturers of industrial and service robots from over 20 countries.
