At first glance, there’s nothing helpful or handy about Miami real estate. There’s the constant flow of people following their dreams and an ocean of competing realtors, not to mention the complexities of waterfront property. Yet one couple found success, enlightenment, and balance, all while lifting the community around them.
Lana & Ricky Perez, the Real Estate Brokers behind LP Global Realty, live the dream. They don’t shout about it, but they’re helping to build the dreams of others, too.
“We work hard and committed to excellence in serving our clients, but when it’s time to travel, we go 100%,” Lana offers. “Life balance is the key. Nothing can stop us.”
Now, they share their story. Revealing how a commitment to giving back harmonizes with their life ambitions, the pair explain the steps that took them from obtaining their licenses to becoming community leaders:
Starting a saga
At the time of the gathering for prospective travelers, Lana and Ricky Perez worked standard jobs on average salaries. Visions of Bora Bora and the allure of its luscious lagoons caused them to ask, ‘How do we afford this?’
The answer was to change profession. Becoming realtors in 2009 and founding LP Global Realty six years ago gave them flexibility and prosperity their previous corporate careers couldn’t.
Since finding a different future at a meeting for aspiring travelers, the duo has visited their best-loved destination, French Polynesia, four times in five years. When they started their journey just over a decade ago, they never imagined traveling the world could go hand-in-hand with helping the community.
Raising a roster
Those ideals didn’t stay confined to Lana and Ricky’s mentality. Their team, largely the same as it was in 2017, takes on their message in a sponge-like fashion.
“Our team sees that life can be wonderful, happy, and bright,” Lana says. “It motivates them to work hard for themselves.”
In creating a team of winners, the pair are acutely aware they must rise to modern real estate’s challenges. Miami is overflowing with full and part-time realtors, most of whom don’t make significant money. The number who live the magazine-cover lifestyle is even fewer.
Thus, inspiration is central to the brokers’ approach. Lana and Ricky always stay informed on changing Real Estate Market, continue to bust up their negotiations skills, finding new innovative advanced marketing ideas and ways to improve their clients experience. “WE never stop learning! Success isn’t something you can go and buy in a grocery store,” Lana adds. “You earn it with blood, sweat, sleepless nights, and stress.” In the end It is rewarding to be able to help so many clients to fulfill their dreams. We simply love what we do
Supporting society
And yet, Ricky faced his fair share of adversity before entering Miami real estate. Raised in a housing project, the influence of sport and Tai Chi led him away from harmful vices and behavior.
Lately, the LP Global Realty owners have supported a martial arts school in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami. Due to rental costs, it’s at risk of closure, leaving young people from underprivileged backgrounds lacking hope.
In response, Lana and Ricky Perez struck a sponsorship deal with the school, ensuring its future. It’s a full-circle moment in the lives of a couple who could have disappeared into the French Polynesian sunset many years ago.
Crossing continents
The ‘Power Team’ behind LP Global Realty proves brokers can connect with their community from anywhere in the world.
Their expansive vision is twofold. They appreciate the Earth in all its beauty during their travels. Meanwhile, they are expanding beyond the Miami city limits to cities across Florida, from South Miami to Orlando. The team finds the demand for its specialism— oceanfront properties, pre-construction projects and single-family homes—is widespread.
Global travel and the ability to help others, though, remains one of the biggest reasons Lana and Ricky Perez stay in real estate. Helping clients get the best price for their homes is not a bad day job. And when you partner it with a lifestyle that allows for regular globetrotting and over 80 cruise excursions to date, it’s hard to fault the pair’s work-life balance.
And when one observes the careers of Lana and Ricky Perez, balance is the most accurate descriptor. An illustrious Miami real estate deal counterbalances each travel adventure. Ricky’s real-world experience validates every charitable venture.
The team behind LP Global Realty is an ocean-blue reflection of two ambitious and altruistic realtors: “Financial freedom gives you the ability to help and motivate other people around you.”
