Jack Henry says its digital solutions will allow the financial services provider, which has ties to the region’s oil and gas industry, to compete with large banks and fintechs.

Lea County State Bank, which boasts $600 million worth of assets, will look to utilise solutions including the firm’s Banno Digital Banking Suite to power its digital transformation.

Jack Henry says the bank will also gain access to more than 850 third-party fintechs to shape custom offerings for both its business and retail customers.

Lea County State Bank vice president Disa Walker says the digital revamp at the bank will mean “both our business and retail customers will have the same digital experience, removing friction, improving satisfaction, and ultimately helping us grow”.

Walker adds the bank is aiming to provide employees “with modern technology tools that facilitate their jobs, allowing them to focus on building and nurturing relationships with our clients”.

For example, Walker says Jack Henry’s Branch Anywhere solution will allow the firm’s bankers “to access key information about their accounts, hold face-to-face meetings with their customers, answer questions, and solve issues from anywhere outside the branch”.

Jack Henry senior vice president and president of Jack Henry banking, Stacey Zengel, says: “Community banking has changed — today, a bank like Lea County State Bank can be as efficient and convenient as non-traditional financial institutions.”
