Missouri’s Lead Bank has announced the appointment of Huma Usmani to fill the firm’s newly created Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) director position.
In her new role, Usmani will focus on expanding the bank’s network of fintech partnerships.
The company says the new BaaS director position will be “essential in overseeing product development and managing API-driven financial solutions specifically related to banking and payment solutions”.
Usmani has more than two decades of experience in financial innovation. She served as the vice president of Citicards before being appointed as VP of emerging technologies at Radius Bank.
Most recently, Usmani was the VP of strategic partnerships and technology at LendingClub and served on the advisory board of Money 20/20 USA.
Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Lead Bank is a community-focused, independent commercial bank that provides communities with treasury management and lending services along with consumer client products, digital consumer banking and other fintech services.
The firm claims to have $780 million in assets under management.
