Former CTO of Curve, Matt Collinge, has joined another UK-based start-up, Sequence.
Writing about his “next exciting adventure” on LinkedIn, Collinge says he has joined “serial entrepreneurs Riya Grover and Eamon Jubbawy as CTO to build the technology and team at Sequence”.
Sequence says it is “magically simplifying financial operations for modern companies”, but at this stage only has a waitlist sign-up on its website.
“We are creating a new category of software, FinOps, bringing the delightful UX and product focused aspects of fintech to bear on the underserved but business critical aspects of finance processes in growing businesses,” Collinge explains.
He describes Sequence as “an exciting, ambitious, early stage but well capitalised business”.
The company is actively hiring. “The problem we are tackling is vast and complex and I am looking for talented people who have intellectual curiosity, humility and drive to join us on this journey,” Collinge says.
Collinge spent nearly four years as CTO of Curve, a UK fintech that aims to combine users’ debit and credit cards into one smart card. Prior to that, he held various senior technology roles at comparison website Compare the Market for over eight years.
Meanwhile, Curve has recently found a new CTO – Eric Molitor – who moved from Improbable, a virtual reality (VR) tech start-up.
