Videos of significant sporting events are high production quality with many replays, close-ups, etc. But, these are limited to the vast TV networks with lots of resources to achieve that production level. It’s difficult for small businesses and game content creators to match that level of production.

With its AI-driven platform, Sizzle.gg is attempting to solve this problem by automatically creating the highlights for esports leagues and teams, as well as video game streams. Sizzle.gg’s unique technology uses deep learning to scan video, audio, and chat to automatically pick the most significant highlights in games, such as action sequences (battles, goals), hilarious moments, players engaged, weapons used, endings, and more.

It also allows one to share short clips, typically 15 to 30 seconds, across various social media platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, and Discord. They can even be personalized for each fan based on their favorite games, players, and types of play without the need to create multiple new video files.

Sizzle.gg connects to Twitch and YouTube feeds without the need for any software. Sizzle.gg has also created patented personalization technology, allowing different users to watch various moments by linking back to the original video on Twitch or YouTube. Coaches can break down individual play, and leagues can customize highlights for their spectators without having to create a new film.

The company collaborates with esports leagues, teams, and streamers to produce automated, tailored highlights and trailers from their games. Sizzle.gg is used by companies like PUBG Esports Americas for creating game highlights and compilations for their social media platforms.

The California-based startup has raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by White Star Capital, with participation from Progression Fund, Eterna Capital, Play Ventures, Mindset Ventures, Xoogler Ventures, and others. The company will use these funds for the further expansion of the company. The announcement comes as the firm, which was founded by executives from Google and other important digital and video game companies, moves beyond its first beta phase and becomes widely available to content creators across the world.
