EIT Digital, the European digital innovation and entrepreneurial education organisation, announced on Friday, September 23, that it has selected ten deep tech companies for the EIC and EIT Digital Venture Acceleration Programme.
In March this year, EIT Digital and the European Innovation Council (EIC) joined forces to launch a year-long collaboration pilot to create new synergies between the two organisations to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem. All EIC Accelerator companies and Seal-of-Excellence recipients can apply for this pilot programme.
The ten winners were selected from over 97 outstanding EIC beneficiaries and seal of excellence holders that applied.
According to EIT Digital, these applicants hail from across the Horizon 2020-associated countries and are advancing technologies across EIT Digital’s thematic areas, namely Digital Tech, Digital Cities, Digital Industry, Digital Wellbeing, and Digital Finance.
The selected scaleups have been granted free access to the 12-month EIT Digital Accelerator Programme worth €50,000. In addition, the EIT Digital Accelerator team will also provide them with dedicated international services in both Access to Finance and Access to Market areas.
