OnRobot closed a DKK 45.5 million, over $5.9 million, investment round. The funding round was first reported on by Finans and was confirmed independently by The Robot Report. OnRobot plans to focus the latest round of funding on product development.

The round was largely driven by the company’s CEO Enrico Krog Iversen and Vækstfonden, a venture capital and private equity firm. Vækstfonden now owns between 30% and 39.98% of the company.

OnRobot recently previewed its latest product D:PLOY, an automated, application-centered software platform for robotic deployments. D:PLOY’s dashboard allows users to access and manage their entire application, including any leading cobot or light industrial robot arm, tooling, sensors and other devices.

To use the system, users simply define the robot’s workspace with minimal inputs on points within the workspace and enter attributes of the workpiece. Then, D:PLOY automatically generates all the program logic, signal exchange, event handling, path planning and real-time monitoring for the full application. OnRobot previewed the system at IMTS in Chicago in September.

In June, OnRobot launched the OnRobot Palletizer to automate palletizing processes. The system works with collaborative robots and light industrial robots from Doosan, FANUC, OMRON, Techman and Universal Robots, and is available as a complete out-of-the-box system or as individual components so users can create mix-and-match solutions.

Last year, the company released another software solution, WebLytics. WebLytics is a software tool designed to simultaneously monitor multiple robotics applications that offers real-time production monitoring, device diagnostic and data analytics that aim to enhance productivity.

OnRobot won a 2022 RBR50 Robotics Innovation award for WebLytics from our sister publication Robotics Business Review
