Robert DeFalco, Owner of Staten Island’s Top Real Estate Agency, is on a Personal Mission to Fight Cancer
For Robert DeFalco, the number one real estate broker in Staten Island, buying and selling the most valuable properties in the state is only part of a bigger mission to further the causes that he deeply cares about and to give back to the community he cherishes.
Behind the scenes at the bustling Robert DeFalco Realty headquarters lies a heartfelt commitment to philanthropy, particularly in fighting cancer. With every sizable donation, the company sets an inspiring example of how compassion and generosity can also take priority in what is often a profit-focused industry.
In the last several years, Robert DeFalco Realty has donated over $700,000 to various charities. While his generosity touches many causes, DeFalco’s unwavering support for the American Cancer Society (ACS) stands out. And it has profound yet painful roots.
DeFalco’s History: Care For the Cause
“The American Cancer Society holds deep meaning for me, which is why I make sure they are heavily supported by my firm,” said DeFalco. “My late brother, John, passed away due to cancer, and we were donating to ACS well before then. Other agents in my firm have passed from cancer, but some, I am grateful to say, are survivors.”
Although cancer has touched the lives of many members of the Robert DeFalco Realty family, it has only strengthened their resolve to make a lasting impact.
“With all of the cumulative success of my agents and firm, I want to be able to give back to a cause that breaks so many hearts around the world,” said DeFalco. “If giving funds can move the needle even slightly to help people find health and wellness again, we are proud to be the number one supporter in Staten Island.”
Big Hearts, Bigger Numbers
Indeed, Robert DeFalco Realty holds the title of flagship corporate sponsor for the ACS in Staten Island and Brooklyn, guaranteeing a donation of $50,000 every year. To achieve this, the company organizes various fundraising events, such as betting nights. They then follow through with a substantial check to bridge the gap if need be. Although, time and again, the firm is able to donate even more than planned.
“It’s the responsibility of businesses to give back to the communities in which they serve,” said DeFalco. “We strive to make these fundraising evenings as engaging as possible to elicit the largest donations. That’s how we’re able to exceed our fundraising goals.”
For example, the company’s 4th Annual Evening Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness was an unforgettable evening of camaraderie, featuring an array of activities, including a gourmet dinner, a generous open bar, a DJ and live music, raffles, a silent auction, and the chance to win a wide array of exciting prizes.
Robert DeFalco Realty is also a sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk and has been lauded by the Emergency Help Children’s Organization for its considerable donations.
“Being charitable is part of the company culture,” said Robert DeFalco, with a sense of pride in his voice. “My father taught me the importance of charity when I was just a boy, and I sought to pass that idea along once I started my own business.”
The company’s philanthropic efforts are documented in the “Giving Back” section of its website. It’s no surprise that their corporate motto is “Treat People Well.” In addition to their passion for charitable causes, Robert DeFalco Realty also excels at resales, new homes, rentals, land, and commercial real estate.
As Robert DeFalco Realty continues to write the story of their success, they are also writing a story of empathy and hope. Their unwavering commitment to philanthropy provides a reminder that success is not solely measured by profitability but also by positive social impact. For these reasons and more, Robert DeFalco Realty is a shining beacon for how real estate agencies can make a meaningful difference in the world.
