Aircover, a sales startup based in San Mateo, has raised $3 million in seed funding to expand its real-time sales intelligence platform.
The funding round was led by Defy Partners, with participation from Firebolt Ventures, Flex Capital, and Ridge Ventures. Industry veterans in video conferencing, enterprise software, and machine learning, also participated in the round as angel investors, according to the startup’s announcement. Bob Rosin, Partner at Defy who will be joining Aircover’s board of directors, referred to the firm’s decision to participate in the round by stating:
“The way that buyers and sellers interact has fundamentally changed. Video and online meetings are now the norm and there is a desperate need for a new generation of tools to drive more meaningful conversations and to help sales teams be more productive in this new environment. Andrew, Alex, and David are a proven world-class team and the early customer feedback has been stellar. We are thrilled to support them as they redefine selling in this new video-enabled era.”
Aircover was founded back in January of 2021 to bridge the information gap between buyers and sellers that has traditionally dominated several industries. It aims to achieve this by providing a real-time tool powered by conversational AI while integrating seamlessly with platforms like Zoom. Brendan Ittelson, CTO at Zoom, said about the company’s partnership with Aircover:
“One of the goals of launching the Zoom SDK was to provide developers with the tools they need to create valuable and engaging experiences for our mutual customers and integrations ecosystem. Aircover’s focus on building sales intelligence directly into the meeting, to guide customer-facing teams through the entire sales cycle, is the type of innovation we had envisioned when we set out to create a broader platform,”
The new capital will allow the sales startup to accelerate its product development efforts, allowing it to deliver on its mission to provide every go-to-market with a say around product, strategy, and development.
