Santander UK appoints new COO and CTO

Santander’s UK arm has announced two new appointments to its executive team.

Elisabet Pinilla will be the new CTO and Stephen White the new COO of Santander UK

Elisabet Pinilla will join Santander UK from Santander Group as the new head of technology operations starting next month.

In her current role, Pinilla leads the global T&O transformation office and IT delivery. Pinilla has over two decades of experience in the IT business within financial services, having previously worked at AXA as group chief IT transformation officer.

Stephen White has been appointed as the new chief operating officer (COO), subject to regulatory approval, and will be joining Santander UK from Yorkshire Building Society.

White has over 25 years of experience in banking, having worked for Allied Irish Bank, Clydesdale Bank, and National Australia Bank, and once served as head of operations for Abbey National (now part of Santander UK).
