Skyline Robotics Ozmo automates skyscraper window cleaning

Skyline Robotics today announced a multi-year partnership with Platinum, Inc. to deliver Ozmo, the world’s first high-rise window-cleaning robot, to New York City skyscrapers. Platinum is the leading building restoration and maintenance service provider in New York City, owning contracts for 65 percent of Class A buildings. Under terms of the partnership, Platinum has exclusive rights to use Ozmo in New York.

Platinum will add Ozmo operations to its existing window cleaning division, Palladium Window Solutions. Skyline Robotics will train the Platinum staff and certify them as Ozmo operators. The Platinum staff will then run the operations of the Ozmo system.

Skyline Robotics is disrupting the $40B window cleaning industry by offering a smarter, faster, safer, and more economical alternative to human window washers. Its Ozmo robot combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision with advanced robotics and sensors, including a state-of-the-art robotic arm designed by KUKA.

Skyline Robotics’ partnership with Platinum marks the company’s entrance into the US market. Skyline is in the commercialization phase of the business, teaming with world-class strategic partners who will be cornerstones of the company’s distribution model.
