UK fintech Mode hires Jose Sanchez Loureda as CTO

London-based digital wallet provider Mode has appointed Jose Sanchez Loureda as chief technology officer (CTO).

Loureda will be tasked with helping Mode enhance its tech offering, in particular driving product development as well as understanding customer and merchant needs through data-led insights.

Mode CEO Rita Liu says Loureda’s appointment is “another pivotal moment” for Mode this year as the firm looks to build on its growth in 2021 and strengthen its senior leadership team.

Loureda has held senior leadership roles across several industries, including media, travel, telco and energy, and brings experience of scaling teams and delivering software products and services.

His work has had a particular focus on customer experience using cloud, emerging technologies, data strategies and advanced analytics.
