Venture capital accelerator company W Ventures announced the addition of Alloy to its growing portfolio.
Alloy, a Baltimore-based sports betting research company which is empowering sports fans to take control of their betting, received a six-figure cash investment as well as marketing communications services valued at six figures in exchange for equity.
To give sports bettors, of all experience levels, an easy and transparent way to access sports betting data, Alloy created a sports betting research platform.
Founded by Baltimore locals Spencer Kronthal, Brad Kronthal, Seth Sholk, and former Orioles shortstop Mike Bordick, the Alloy sports betting research platform combines rapid personalized research, easy bet placing and real-time tracking.
The platform provides users with data to help them build their own proprietary betting algorithm, backtest it against eight years of historical data, and see upcoming games their algorithm suggests lead to a high return on investment. Committed to transparency, user control, and ease of use, Alloy is democratizing sports betting data to put fans back in command of their sports betting strategies, at a low cost.
The Alloy platform is the only sports betting platform where a bettor has full control and can choose every component that goes into the final sports bet, in only three steps. First, using a live data feed from Sports Radar, users can choose and build thousands of stat combinations and watch the results populate in real time to gauge success. Second, users select filters – such as home or away games – to further tailor stat calculations while strategy results continuously update. Lastly, when a user is ready to launch their researched bet, from the Alloy platform, they click directly to a booking platform, such as PointsBet, to place their bet. As one of the only platforms to provide direct access to booking platforms, Alloy partners with several platforms so users can vet odds and select the platform that will give them the best chance of winning.
Alloy is currently beta testing their platform, with plans to launch to the public in Spring 2022. During its initial launch, the platform will feature NBA data and analytics; it will expand to incorporate NFL data and analytics before the 2022 season.
W Ventures, in partnership with its sister company Warschawski, a full-service marketing communications agency, will implement a variety of integrated marketing and communications strategies, ranging from website design and development and branding efforts to digital advertising and social media strategy, in order to enhance national media exposure and increase consumer-focused brand awareness. W Ventures and Warschawski recently completed a full rebrand of the company, determining a new name and developing a new logo, to support its continued growth.
